About Me

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and I have been working almost exclusively in the non-profit world for the past 20 years. I received my undergraduate degree through the University of California at Davis in Psychology and Sociology.

Two of my great passions in life have been psychology and sociology, they have always seemed so intertwined. So when I decided to get a graduate degree, I looked for a school that also taught from this perspective. It took a while, but I finally found myself at New College of California enrolled in a Master’s Feminist Psychology program.

This was a terrific and amazing experience for me. I am the therapist I am because of the training and perspective I received while attending New College. Being able to deconstruct and view ourselves in context to who we are and where we are in life turned out to be a valuable tool for me as a therapist.

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with the most disenfranchised and vulnerable of our communities to some of the most affluent and I have learned that WE ALL MAKE SENSE.

So my job, our work in therapy is to find that understanding together.
